Darwin was NOT used for weather data as it is a coastal city, surrounded by water in a range >180degrees. Due to Bennett Lakes more inland location, it would have a markably different climate (especially for cyclones that weaken as the go inland).
Acacia Gap (Lake Bennett) has:
· Exceptionally high daytime temperatures, overnight temperatures and rainfall
· Exceptionally high daytime temperatures, overnight temperatures and rainfall
· Below average wind speed.
· Humidity levels are above average
· Has a wet season (October-April with 1364.8mm of rain) and a dry season (May-September with less than 107.7mm of rain).
· Temperatures in the wet season average between 32 and 35.6OC during the day and 22.1 and 23.9OC overnight. Temperatures in the dry season average between 31.3 and 34.7OC during the day and 14.9 and 20.1OC at night.
